Hope this get ported to switch thats where i have the first game. Really love the game. Its my favorite strategy rpg like better than fire emblem. I loved in the first game every chapters battle was different ill be fighting bandit than helping civilian escape than me and the crew fighting a bloody dragon that was very fun. Am finally doing a second playthrough because its the best strategy rpg on the switch that affordable hm maybe i should get the DLC but ya fun game there were bugs in my game am not sure how many but definitely the last boss fight was bug since there were no force fields protecting i think orbs i had to destroy so might of made the last fight easy still was a long fun fight. The characters were pretty unbalance or classes but i remember just steam rolling emenys with one of the adepts classes just was like super tanky and if hurt i could just heal from one attack. This game is looking more fun and interesting so looking forward to more of this game. Wow 3 years it been from the first game.

*If FE is dying, it's Engage that killed it.* 3H revived the series only for it's gatcha counterpart to kill it.

Everything made sense when data miners found Master classes were originally called Hybrid/Combined classes. They weren't a direct upgrade so much as a lateral move.

Yeah, this really makes sense. As for me, my introduction was Fe7 when it released on NSO. Personally, I thought the story and characters were great (Lyn, Elliwood [who I first thought was Roy], and Sain) and I felt like it taught me the mechanics (simple as they were) perfectly. I'm glad I started with this one, but I'll admit, I didn't compare it to other RPGs I'd played (Mostly FF7 and Miitopia :D). The whole experience just felt completely different. I would recommend that game to everyone, RPG fan or not, even through my knowledge of the game's many flaws.

Jae got most of my favorite units to pick in drafts and just to use in general play too. Vanessa is bad and I will die on this hill. Franz is a much better unit to use early on and then he has Tana for later when flying is more needed. Garcia is also great and easy to use early and Moulder as well so love the Jae picks here. Saleh was also an amazing late game pickup but a lot of the other picks are questionable and don't seem that useful personally but excited to see how it goes. The rest of you suck at drafts and I hope you lose 😊 (I respect the Colm pickup though)

Tbh, it can also go the other way around. One could claim that Three Houses did not introduce more people to FE unlike Awakening and Fates, it introduced more people to itself. I have seen a lot of people bounce off of other games in the series hard(an example possibly being Engage, since a lot of the talk against it that I heard would be valid for most games in the series) because they are not like TH and do not contain certain mechanics and elements that TH did. There really is no real right answer in a lot of these newcomer-related questions and a lot of FE7-sayers don't even recommend the game for introductory qualities but moreso because of the major designflaw that the tutorial is sleep inducing and unskippable(That being, unless you play in japanese on the original GBA and do the FE6-link, then you can skip. But just casually on NSO, there's just no way, even in that version).

Why is War Master misogynistic, but not gremory?

I hear this everywhere! Did I play a different game or something?! My Martial Master Framme had by far the highest damage output out of any of my units. She one rounded basically everything while like 70% of my other units failed to do the same.

I have a very different experience with Lapis, who for me was dodge tank with doubling every enemy. Of course I had to do some Engagement Rings shanenigans, but I have nothing but positive things to say about her

Speedy and Jae are fighting an uphill battle, have mercy on their souls.

I remember being obsessed with the two GBA releases, loving path of radiance, and convincing my parents to buy me a Wii when Radiant dawn came out. I'll never forget the complete nothing that Shadow Dragon made me feel (I found the plot bland, the animations hideous, and the class-swapping to be very homogenizing), even going so far as to sell the game back to gamestop (Having come to appreciate Shadow Dragon via emulator, I obviously regret this now). PoR and Radiant Dawn may not have been best-sellers, but they kept the online fanbase alive and hardcore fans around, but man, did Shadow Dragon really kill things off for a few good years. There's definitely a parallel with where FE is now to back then, I feel like we're at the same stage we were with Radiant Dawn back in the day: Most recent entry was pretty niche and had its detractors but still was fundamentally fun, and we're coming down off the high of a boom in popularity (3H/Heroes boom for current gen, GBA game boom and western audience acquisition for the previous gen). Things aren't as dire as they were Pre-Awakening, but if the next game sucks or is uninteresting, things could get bad.

I feel like a lot of people are misinterpreting the point of this video because of the title or a couple of the lines in it, and that's my fault for not being very clear about it. I'm NOT saying Fire Emblem as a whole is dying, even though I did say that word for word in the video, I didn't mean it in the literal sense, I said I was dying for crying out loud, it's a joke! What I was mostly talking about was that it's strange that the discussion around FE games has quieted down a lot. Generally a new game exercises relevance for long periods of time and I just haven't seen that for Engage. I am by no means saying Engage is a bad game, I really like it and made 16 or 17 videos about it in a single month, that's how much I enjoyed it, but the conversation and discussion about it is just lacking, at least from what I can see. If you see otherwise, then I would love to see WHERE you see this, and by all means, change my mind. It's an opinion video, that's just what I've felt recently, and I'm sharing my own thoughts with everyone, this isn't an attack on you personally or your favorite game.
